The state of a marine ecosystem is read from what lives in it. We work on the water, not only on paper.
What we do

The Black Sea
Pollution, microplastics, marine heatwaves and coastal erosion — we track the pressure on these waters and what the policies provide for.

Marine mammals
The dolphins of the Black Sea, their entanglement in fishing gear, and what field observation shows.

Sturgeon
The permanent fishing ban, the blocked migration routes, and the recovery of populations in the Danube and the Black Sea.

Seabirds
Coastal and marine birds are an indicator of the state of fish stocks. We monitor them alongside our other observations.
